Tsavo is made up of two separate parks, Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park. Located in Coast Province of Kenya in between Nairobi City and Mombasa.
Tsavo is nearly 22,000km2, being the largest national park in Kenya and one of the largest in the world. The park was split into two due to the railway going from Mombasa to the interior of Kenya.
Our 7days Tsavo safari tour originating from the Kenya and exploring the red soil plains of the Tsavo East and scenic hilly landscape of the Tsavo West National Parks.
Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo West
Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Airport in the morning by Country sights Tours and travel driver guide, drive to Tsavo west national park depending on the time we leave Nairobi we can reach the park at mid-morning for brief game drive then continue to our lodge for lunch and refreshments. In the afternoon you will go for game drive in search for the big Game like elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species. Later Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 2: Tsavo West – Tsavo East.
Have an early morning breakfast; go for a game drive as we enjoy more expereince of 7days Tsavo safari tour with a Visit to Mzima springs where you can see hippos and fish in crystalline clear water. There are possibilities of seeing crocodiles and monkeys the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs, to the Shetani lava flows. After the game drive cross to Tsavo East which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man eating lions. Check in your lodge for refreshments as we wait for our lunch. After lunch go for evening game drive with a visit to Aruba dam. Dinner and overnight
Day 3: Tsavo East
On this day wake up early for early morning game drive to catch up with the predators on hunt and other game like Elephants, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Leopards mentions but a few later break for late breakfast and relaxation around the lodge. In the afternoon go for long evening game drive in search for what we missd in the morning game drive like vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species. Meals and overnight
Day 4: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha
Early morning breakfast. After breakfast game en-route leave Amboseli for lake Naivasha a 5 Hrs drive. There will be a stop to view the great rift valley scenery as you proceed to Naivasha you will arrive time for lunch, go for afternoon game drive with a visit to Hells Gate National Park which allows Hiking, Bicycling ride, Rock climbing and photography of wildlife and a visit to geothermal power plant. Later dinner and overnight
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara
Early morning breakfast. After breakfast leave Lake Naivasha for Masai Mara a 5 Hrs drive arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon games drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo. Dinner and overnight
Day 6 : Maasai Mara
Early morning game drive will lead you to some of Africa’s largest lion prides, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas and return to camp for breakfast some rest and Lunch.
After lunch go for afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara national reserve plains which are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end of September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle are regularly seen, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as are very large Nile crocodiles mention but a few. Dinner and overnight
Day 7: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
Enjoy breakfast, checkout and depart the Mara for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Have lunch at carnivore afterwards drop off at Airport for flight back home. End of 7days Tsavo safari tour
